CHEMCLAD GFM® panel profiles, including 6.0 x 2.0 RoofDeck, in weights to 16 oz./sf are approved by Factory Mutual Research Corp., under Approval Standard #4880-94. This standard establishes performance criteria for Class 1 insulated wall or wall and roof/ceiling panels under various combustibility tests. CHEMCLAD GFM® passed all tests including the very stringent 50 ft. high corner test, and is approved for use in Class 1 construction without height limitation. You gain assurance of Class 1 performance in response to heat, wind, hail and foot traffic. The FM reference number is J.I. ODOA6.AM. The products are listed in the January 1998 Approval Guide. Until that time you can call us for documentation. Alternatively, your local FM Engineering District office can assist you.

Certain profiles are also approved under Standard #4471- Class 1 Panel Roofs. Windstorm Class 1-105 windstorm classification applies to 7.2 × 1.5 rib, 7.0 × 1.5 rib and 7.2 × 1.75 rib profiles in 10, 13 and 16 oz./sf. weights. Windstorm Class 1-90 applies to 4.2 corrugated profile at 13 and 16 oz./sf. weights.

The 6.0 x 2.0 RoofDeck meets FM 4880 requirements for Class 1 Approval for installation without height restriction. "The panel does not create need for automatic sprinklers." Panels are acceptable in combustible occupancy protected by automatic sprinklers as defined by FMRC Loss Prevention Standards.

GFM panels are identified by the distinctive diamond symbol on labelling and packaging.
